Practice Areas

Sylvia specialises in corporation tax and dividend tax and mainly advises on private equity, fund structuring and M&A transactions. She is regularly involved in international structurings and real estate transactions. Sylvia is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the International Bar Association (IBA) and serves as secretary on the board of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB). Sylvia is a member of Houthoff's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Committee and regularly speaks on diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace at various events. She also wrote commentary on various tax treaties signed by the Netherlands for the NDFR Dutch tax law resource.
