Sudhar was the Past President of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators for the term 2018 – 2019. He is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb), a Fellow of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR) and a Fellow of the Malaysian Society of Adjudicators (MSA). He is also a Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and a Member of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII).

Sudhar is an experienced advocate and solicitor specialising in civil and commercial litigation and commercial arbitration.
He has a diverse practice with an emphasis on civil fraud, corporate, construction, energy and natural resources, insurance and reinsurance, public law, regulatory and tax disputes.
Sudhar has more than 25 years’ experience in the field of dispute resolution, including domestic and international arbitrations, where he acts as counsel, arbitrator or expert on Malaysian Law in disputes across various industries. He is also an accredited adjudicator.
He is listed as a leading or recommended lawyer in the fields of dispute resolution, competition and anti-trust law, and tax law.
Sudhar is described in the legal directories as "a formidable opponent" and "a very steady counsel and detailed lawyer." He is also described as being “extremely knowledgeable” and being adept at mastering and simplifying complex facts and legal principles. Clients have further described him as a passionate, proactive and strategic lawyer who cares for his clients on a personal level.
Sudhar is a co-author of Veerinder on Taxation (6th Edition) (2022), a co-author of the Chapter on Judicial Review in Bullen & Leake & Jacob's Malaysian Precedents Of Pleadings (2nd Edition) (2020), a co-author of the Chapter on Litigation in the Construction Court in Law and Practice of Construction Law in Malaysia (2021), and a contributing editor to Malaysian Civil Procedure (Sweet & Maxwell).
Sudhar has a B.Comm. (Accounting & Finance) and an LL.B. (Hons) from Monash University, Australia and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics. His background in accounting and finance provides a significant advantage in the commercial cases that he handles.
Sudhar has been an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya since 1997.
