The rankings for our main Dispute Resolution section expanded from four to five bands in the most recent 2021 Asia-Pacific Guide, for both law firm departments and individual practitioners. We also have a sub-section covering Construction disputes, as well as a separate Dispute Resolution: International Firms section, both of which rank individual practitioners only. Across our Dispute Resolution coverage, we currently rank 20 firm departments and 57 lawyers.
Our main Dispute Resolution section encompasses a wide range of both litigation and alternative dispute resolution, as well as pre-trial and investigation work. We also consider Restructuring and Insolvency and White-Collar Crime related issues in this section. For Malaysia, we have standalone sections covering Competition/Antitrust, Employment & Industrial Relations, Intellectual Property, Shipping and Tax, so any disputes relating to those areas are primarily considered in each of those respective separate sections. Disputes of any other kind are considered towards the main Dispute Resolution section. Our Construction sub-section covers any litigation and alternative dispute resolution pertaining to this industry.
An increase in online court hearings was noted during the most recent Asia research, and it is also expected that Restructuring & Insolvency will increase. We will continue to monitor these, and any other, developments going forward.
