Steven heads up Pinsent Masons' Tax Disputes and Investigations practice, working with large corporates, financial institutions, and High Net Worth individuals to resolve investigations and disputes across a range of direct and indirect taxes. Steven has represented clients before all Tribunals and Courts, including the Court of Justice of the European Union. He has extensive experience engaging with HMRC in Alternative Dispute Resolution and frequently advises clients on complex investigations and, as necessary, disclosures to HMRC.
Steven's recent cases cover a broad spectrum, including corporate tax issues, VAT, stamp taxes, employment tax and off-payroll working (including IR35) enquiries and investigations, aggregates levy and landfill tax issues, pensions-related tax, corporate and individual residency issues, the corporate criminal offence, and tax fraud.
Steven has been a partner at Pinsent Masons since 2016.
