Steve advises a global client base on investment funds, corporate law and financings as a partner in our Cayman Islands Financial Services Law practice.
He has been practising since 2003 in offshore, onshore and in-house roles and has spent almost 20 years as an Attorney in the Cayman Islands where he has advised on the full range of Cayman fund structures from global institutional funds to private funds established for families and club deals.
Steve also has experience of practicing as a foreign lawyer in Kuwait and in Singapore, and he acts for clients mainly from North America, Europe, UK and the Gulf Cooperation Council Region.
He works with onshore counsel and fund managers, PE structures, start-up companies, listed technology companies and digital asset funds on Cayman legal and regulatory issues, as well as advising on financings, restructurings and listing on the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange.
Steve has also developed a practice in advising managers – typically in the US – on the establishment, launch and operations of digital asset funds, including for the managers behind the first SEC-approved tokenised fund.
He first qualified with Pitblado LLP in Winnipeg, Canada in 2003.
