Stephen is head of the Dublin Finance team at Maples and Calder, the Maples Group's law firm.
Stephen advises on a wide range of capital markets and structured finance products and related issues, including CLO, RMBS and other securitisation structures, fund-linked structured products, ETC platforms, repackagings and debt issuance programmes. He also advises on regulatory issues impacting on structured finance vehicles including those in relation to the Prospectus Regulation, Market Abuse Regulation, AIFMD, EMIR as well as risk retention, disclosure and transparency requirements for securitisations under the Securitisation Regulation.
Stephen joined the Maples Group in 2012. He was previously a senior associate in the finance department of a leading Irish corporate law firm.
Stephen has represented the Maples Group (as part of the Irish Debt Securities Association) on working groups related to the implementation of AIFMD and EMIR in Ireland.
