Stephan Größ is a partner in EY Law Austria’s Real Estate & Construction practice and is widely recognised for his expertise in complex real estate transactions, large scale development projects and construction law.
He advises on major development and acquisition projects, mixed use and residential schemes, forward purchase and forward funding structures, infrastructure related real estate matters and hotel agreements. Clients value his commercially driven approach, deep sector knowledge and strong execution in technically demanding projects.
He represents institutional investors, international developers, non profit housing organisations, hotel operators and corporate clients. His expertise spans project development, real estate M&A, zoning and permitting, property asset management, regulatory frameworks governing large scale developments, and hotel, resort & tourism transactions, including operator agreements and complex acquisition structures.
Since joining EY Law as partner in 2019, Stephan has strengthened the practice group’s footprint in high value developments, innovative transaction structures, hospitality projects and construction related mandates. He also serves on the Supervisory Board of non-profit housing companies, adding governance insight and sector specific expertise to his advisory work.
Previously, he was a partner at an international law firm (2012–2019) and at a Vienna firm specialised in real estate and construction. Earlier roles include Assistant Professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of Vienna. He holds a Mag. iur. (1997) and Dr. iur. (2002) from the University of Vienna and an LL.M. from the College of Europe, Bruges (1998).
