An expert commercial litigator and corporate lawyer with particular expertise in banking and corporate competition issues, Stefán Svensson has acted and continues to act in many of Iceland’s leading contentious banking cases as well as in disputes involving issues as diverse as freedom of expression and fishing quotas. Stefán’s practice additionally focuses on finance, company and EU law, insolvency and restructuring. Stefán as acted several times in overseas proceedings as an expert witness in Icelandic law and is experienced in pleading cases before the Icelandic courts and the EFTA Court.
