Attorney from Universidad de Chile. Master of Laws – LL.M. in American Law, International Business Concentration from Boston University School of Law. Diploma in Social Management of Natural Solange Villarroel heads the Natural Resources practice at VGC Abogados, where she advises leading mining, energy, cement, and agribusiness companies on water law, permits, mining and natural resources matters. In the last year, she has provided specialized training on the Sectoral Permits Framework Law (Ley Marco de Autorizaciones Sectoriales) to companies and industry associations, positioning herself as a recognized technical authority in the permitting space. She holds a law degree from Universidad de Chile and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in American Law with an International Business Concentration from Boston University School of Law. She also earned a Diploma in Social Management of Natural Resources from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Universidad de Chile, and a Diploma in Climate Change and Low Carbon Development from the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. Prior to joining VGC Abogados in 2014, she collaborated with the Environmental Law Center of Universidad de Chile, the Center for International Sustainable Development Law, and the Center for Climate and Resilience Science (CR2).
