Simon Ellis is a partner in Akin’s investment management practice. He advises prominent private fund sponsors on fundraisings and the ongoing maintenance of funds, with a focus on mid-market and emerging-market funds. Simon represents sponsors, managers and investors, including sovereign wealth funds, on fund formations and capital deployments worldwide.
In addition to his work in respect of primary investments, Simon also advises clients on the secondary acquisition and sale of fund interests and on a range of structured secondary transactions, including rollover secondaries, tender offers and general partner (GP)-led restructurings.
