Career
Sergio advises and counsels local and foreign companies on mining, environmental and hydrocarbon aspects, including issues related to contract law, administrative law, public international law and constitutional law in that regard. He has advised both mining projects and operating mines. He has participated in several acquisitions, negotiations, and assignments of rights and mining properties, including due diligence and title assessment, draft and analysis of contracts, preparation of Feasibility Studies, permit proceedings and formalities, and follow-up thereof, defense of vested rights and promotional systems, among others. He has also actively participated in and collaborated with the design and preparation of promotional and environmental rules and regulations, both at federal and provincial level. Furthermore, he has served as environmental auditor and has participated in investigations in the compliance department of certain mining companies. He has vast experience in providing advice and counsel for bi-national projects between Argentina and Chile, in connection with both mining and traffic and road aspects.
In 2013, he worked as coordinator of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Argentine Chamber of Mining Entrepreneurs (CAEM), and in 2014, he was appointed Editorial Secretary of the Argentine Magazine on Energy, Hydrocarbon and Mining Law (RADEHM).
