Serena Tan is Deputy Co-Chair of the Firm’s Global Private Funds Group and Chair of Greater China Private Funds Practice. She has extensive experience in the formation of, and investment in, private funds (including USD funds, RMB funds, and dual-currency funds). A native Mandarin speaker with significant international experience, she has represented many of the most prominent sponsors and institutional investors.

She advises international and Asian fund sponsors on the formation of private funds, including buyout, growth capital, venture capital, real estate, private credit, co-investment, fund of funds and separate accounts. In addition, Serena advises sponsors on regulatory matters, carried interest plans, and operational matters. She has advised international fund managers including GLP and Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia, and Asian sponsors including Ally Bridge Group, BHG Long Hills, Fosun, Hony Capital, Kowloon Nights, Makers, Ping An Overseas Holdings, Sailing Capital, and SoftBank Ventures Asia.
