Sebastián Ortegón Obando

Dispute Resolution: arbitration and litigation. Competition Law.

Sebastián is a distinguished lawyer who graduated from Universidad del Rosario, where he obtained both his law degree and a master's degree in Law with a focus on Private Law. He further enhanced his expertise by earning an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution and International Arbitration from New York University (NYU). With over a decade of experience, Sebastián has managed numerous arbitration proceedings at both domestic and international levels, and he has litigated cases in Colombian courts.

In addition to his arbitration work, Sebastián advises companies on competition law, which includes handling clearance proceedings with the competition authority and disputes regarding unfair competition.

Sebastián frequently serves as the secretary for domestic arbitrations conducted under the rules of the CCB. Beyond his legal practice, he is committed to academia and works as a faculty member at Universidad del Rosario, teaching Commercial Law, Arbitration, and Competition Law.
