Sayeed Abdullah Al Mamun Khan, Barrister (Lincoln’s Inn), is a partner of A.S & Associates and is the practice lead of Litigation & ADR. Mr. Khan is an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and has attained adequate experience dealing with number of high-profile Criminal, Civil and Commercial litigations moved before the High Court Division of Supreme Court of Bangladesh, District Courts, various Tribunals and in arbitration proceedings. In particular, he has argued several leading and ground-breaking cases in Criminal, Civil, Company and Commercial matters.

On top of general Criminal Cases, Mr. Khan has the rare experience of working in the newly established tribunal in Bangladesh dedicated for addressing Cyber Crimes. In the arena of Criminal litigations, Mr. Khan has represented various individuals and companies on white-collar crimes, money laundering issues, complex financial frauds, domestic violence and other local criminal disputes. He has also advised and litigated for different national and international companies mostly related to criminal and civil matters, company matters, labour disputes and international commercial disputes, covering issues ranging from L/C payments to performance guarantee, from claim of damages to enforcement of judgement etc.

In addition to the above, Mr. Khan possesses enormous expertise in Land & Property matters and has extensively advised and represented clients in complex and high-value land disputes. His experience in land-related litigation includes title disputes, boundary and possession issues, landlord-tenant disputes, partition suits, specific performance of contracts, eviction proceedings, mutation and record correction, land acquisition matters etc.

Mr. Khan has advised some of the leading commercial banks, NBFI, financial institutions including but not limited to IDLC Finance Limited, Prime Bank Limited, Pubali Bank Limited, NRBC Bank Ltd, NCC Bank Ltd, City Bank Ltd, Premier Leasing and Finance Ltd regarding loan recovery and other legal issues. Furthermore, Mr. Khan practices in the field of administrative and constitutional matters and has been involved with various complex judicial review matters such as challenging constitutionality of the law/bylaws, handling public interest litigations, service matters, administrative decisions etc.

Mr. Khan has advised some of the leading national and international Textile & Garments Manufacturing entities, and Real Estate Companies regarding their criminal matters, property disputes, L/C matters, IP matters e.g. trademark, copyright, and patent and design matters, documentations and other various legal issues. He is currently leading more than 800 pending litigations for various national and international companies and entities.

In addition to that, he has also offered legal advice to different national and international entities including but not limited to Philips Electronics Netherland, TNT Express, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Limited, Bangladesh Football Federation, Bangladesh Cricket Board, Bangladesh Energy Regulation Company, Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Limited, Grameen Phone, Banglalink Digital Communication Limited, Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence, Bangladesh Shooting Federation, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Chittagong Chamber of Commerce, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited, Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCB), North West Power Generation Company Limited, Dhaka Electricity Supply Company Limited (DESCO), Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC), Dhaka City Corporation, North South University, Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) are worth mentioning.

Mr. Khan completed his legal studies from the University of London in 2006 and was called to the Bar of England and Welsh by Lincoln’s Inn of UK. He has completed his Post Graduation Diploma in Law (PGDL) from University of West of England, Bristol. He is also a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn (UK), Supreme Court Bar Association, Dhaka Bar Association, Mymensingh District Bar Association and World Litigation Forum (WLF).
