I am a family solicitor and collaborative lawyer with 16 years' post qualification experience advising clients in connection with divorce, financial remedy, complex private law children disputes, cohabitation and property disputes and domestic abuse. I am committed to conducting my cases in a constructive and sensitive manner and encourage my clients to put the best interests of their children first. My practice is informed and assisted by my strong relationships with Counsel, family consultants, family therapists and independent financial advisers.
I spent the first 11 years of my career working at a busy high street firm in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, where I managed a very large caseload, which was principally publicly funded. I regularly represented my clients at the local Tunbridge Wells County Court, particularly in emergency private law chiIdren matters and Family Law Act applications. I then moved to a regional Sussex firm based in Uckfield in 2014, where I developed and broadened my practice. I moved to Dean Wilson in 2016, becoming a partner in 2021. I enjoyed the support of my head of department, Julian Hunt, and all my Dean Wilson colleagues in building a thriving client base in Brighton.
I am a Member of Resolution and am a Resolution Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer with regard to Complex Financial Remedies & Private Law Children from 2015 to date. Accreditation has to be reapplied for every 3 years.
My first degree was in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I have always been a lover of the written word and a beautifully turned phrase. I am also a lover of travel, and all things Greek and Scandinavian, Icelandic sagas, very long walks, and very large meals.
