Sara Sicard obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree, mention Cum Laude, from the Pedro Henríquez Ureña University (UNPHU) in 1990. Later, in 1992, she obtained a Master's Degree in International Commercial Law with a focus in International Business (with merit) at the Queen Mary and Westfield College of the University of London, England.

Mrs. Sicard is a member of the following institutions: Bar Association of the Dominican Republic, Inc., Ibero-American Institute of Maritime Law (institution of which she was Vice-President during the 2000-2002 period),
