Ryo Okubo graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 1999 and with an LL.M. from The University of Chicago Law School in 2006. He worked at Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston and New York from 2006 to 2008. He was a part-time lecturer (civil law) at the legal department of the University of Tokyo from 2014 to 2015. He has been a Co-head of New York Office of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu since 2017.
