Rui Camacho Palma is partner and head of Linklaters' Tax practice in Lisbon, M.A. in Taxation by the University of London (Institute of Advanced Legal Studies) and lecturer at the Lisbon School of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal.
He has been working in the fiscal area since 1998, having an extensive experience in international tax planning and transactional tax matters, including structuring a wide array of both inbound and outbound investment projects, managing the tax traits of cross-border transactions and advising on the tax aspects of public and private M&A, corporate reorganisations, intellectual property and other intangibles relocation, structured and hybrid finance and tax litigation. Rui has been active in very complex transactional matters.
Before joining Linklaters in 2007, Rui spent nine years working for major global consultancies, including heading a team as an international tax manager.
