Roque Bernardo Bustamante was duly admitted to the Ecuadorian Bar in the year 1991, subsequently achieving the completion of a Master's Degree in Intellectual Property from the Franklin Pierce Law Center (now University of New Hampshire). Roque's academic pursuits were further enriched through practical engagements, including internships in New York and Philadelphia.
Since 1995 Roque got involved in Mining and Oil and Gas matters. He has participated in a considerable majority of the most important and relevant mining and oil ang gas matters in Ecuador as well as relevant financings and mergers and acquisitions. Roque has an excellent record of success on the matters he has been involved and has always demonstrated a full commitment to his clients, which has led him to be recognized by Chambers for 16 consecutive years.
In addition to his professional career, Roque has been an active member of the Chamber of Mines acting as president in 2001, and professor of economic law at UDLA from 2012 to 2017.
