- Law degree in Universidad Americana and his Bachelor of Business Administration in the same University.
- He is authorized as a Practicing Attorney and Notary Public by the Supreme Court of Justice of Nicaragua.
- Masters Degree in Labor Legal Advice at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues in Madrid, Spain, through a grant from the Carolina Foundation.

Personal
Róger joined Arias in 2006 and was appointed partner in 2014. Since then, he has led and developed the real estate and tax law practices in our Nicaragua office.
He regularly advises both local and international clients in real estate transactions, including buying and selling properties, and conducts due diligence on properties for mortgage guarantees in financing or restructuring deals. Róger has also contributed to the development of various real estate projects, such as condominium regimes, subdivisions, hotels, restaurants, and other tourism-related ventures.
A distinctive strength of his advisory services is the integration of his real estate expertise with his knowledge of tax law, enabling him to provide comprehensive guidance that incorporates effective tax planning for each project under development.
In the field of tax law, Róger offers daily tax advisory services to companies across various industries. He has also provided counsel on mergers and acquisitions, advising on transactions ranging from the sale of small businesses to multinational corporations with a local presence.
Róger has supported clients from diverse industries in tax audits, covering direct taxes, indirect taxes, and municipal taxes. He has also been involved in customs matters, including valuation disputes, origin verification, and closure audits for companies in free trade zone regimes, among others. In addition to his advisory and audit support, Roger has extensive experience in judicial proceedings related to tax issues, including constitutional amparo actions and contentious-administrative claims.
Róger also leads the pro bono practice at our Nicaragua office and is actively involved in various committees within the firm’s regional structure.
