Dr Roel Menting has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 2012. He advises clients in particular on complex technical and patent law issues and is known for his goal-oriented approach. Thanks to his broad technical expertise and many years of experience in patent matters, he is able to familiarise himself quickly and precisely with new technical issues.
At BDPE, Roel focuses exclusively on patent litigation.

Before joining BDPE’s patent litigation team, Roel worked as a patent attorney and partner at a renowned German patent law firm. There, he primarily handled patent prosecution proceedings in the fields of telecommunications, electrical engineering, mechanics, medical technology and automotive engineering.
Roel studied physics at Humboldt University in Berlin. He subsequently obtained his PhD there in the field of artificial photosynthesis.
He speaks fluent German, English and Dutch.
