Roderick specialises in intellectual property law. He advises and represents national and international clients in cases relating to copyright law, design law, trademark law, trade name law, advertising law and unfair competition. As an experienced litigator Roderick regularly litigates in infringement cases before courts and courts of appeal and in arbitration proceedings.

He also advises on brand development, product design and intellectual property agreements, such as licences, assignments, and distribution. In his practice Roderick assists companies which are active in, for example, the fields of retail and the production and marketing of consumer products. This means fashion, foodstuffs and household products. In addition to advising and litigating, Roderick holds a PhD in trade name law from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. On top of that Roderick regularly lectures and publishes on various subjects in the field of intellectual property law.
