Practice Areas
Roberto Argeri’s practice focuses on domestic and international litigation and arbitration, including complex corporate disputes and insolvency proceedings.
He has more than twenty years’ experience in the firm’s international dispute resolution practice, handling domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration across a wide range of civil and commercial matters, including financial services, media, intellectual property, sports law, automotive, consumer protection, bankruptcy, and competition law.
Roberto routinely leads the firm’s most complex and high-profile cross-border matters in Italy, coordinating domestic and international legal teams to navigate intricate multi-jurisdictional issues.
He lectures at LUISS Law School on international dispute resolution topics in master’s and postgraduate programs.
Roberto serves on the Executive Committee of the AIA-ArbIt-40 Group and is a member of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers). Since 2021, he has been a member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law.
Career
Roberto joined the firm in 2005 as a trainee, became an associate in 2010, and was promoted to counsel in 2020. He is the most senior member of the dispute resolution practice in Cleary Gottlieb’s Rome office.
He earned an LLM from Columbia Law School in 2009-2010, where he was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
In 2006, Roberto conducted legal research at the Department of Public Law of Pisa University on a scholarship awarded by the Fondazione Uberto Bonino e Maria Sofia Pulejo.
