Robert practises widely in complex commercial litigation including representative proceedings, company law, contractual disputes, financial services, regulatory, insolvency, employment and insurance. Robert provides advice across a wide range of legal areas, and appears in trials, applications and appeals, as well as domestic and international arbitrations.

representing Firstmac in Federal Court Civil penalty proceedings commenced by ASIC (2024);

representing Zurich Australian Insurance at trial and on appeal in multi-party insurance proceedings brought by CIMIC Group (2023-2024);

representing AMP in Commercial List and Court of Appeal proceedings brought by Munich Reinsurance and Resolution Life Australia (2024);

representing IG Markets Ltd in Federal Court representative proceedings (2024);

representing Basis Capital in Federal Court representative proceedings against Standard and Poor’s (2024); and
