Work Highlights

Acted for PT XL Axiata Tbk (now, PT XLSmart Telecom Sejahtera Tbk) in connection with its merger with PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk and PT Smart Telecom.

Acted for PT Indosat Tbk (now, PT Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Tbk (ISAT)) in its USD6 billion merger with H3I, majority owned by CK Hutchinson, to create a new world class digital telco for Indonesia.

Acted for the Indonesia Investment Authority on its investment into a joint venture with SK Plasma to establish a plasma fractionation plant in Indonesia.

Acted for PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGE), one of the largest geothermal companies in the world, on its Rule 144A/Reg S IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The IPO was oversubscribed by 3.8 times from its pooling portion, raising approximately USD600m for PGE to expand its portfolio by 600MW and refinance existing loans.

Acted for PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, in a Rp12.85 trillion rights issue (including approximately Rp7.5tn state capital injection), conversion of the Republic of Indonesia’s mandatory convertible bonds and non-preemptive share issue, as part of the airline’s turnaround efforts after completing its court-sanctioned debt restructuring (PKPU).

Richele specialises in corporate, commercial, and capital markets transactions. His experience spans a wide spectrum of merger and acquisition transactions, including joint ventures, private equity investments and corporate restructurings. In addition, Richele heads the firm’s arbitration sub-practice, drawing on his experience in international disputes under the ICSID and SIAC rules.

Richele is recognised for his ability to translate transactional experience and regulatory insight into clear, practical advice aligned with his clients’ commercial objectives. It has earned him recognition within the legal community, including being listed in Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2025 as a Recommended Lawyer for Capital Markets.
