Career
More than 15 years’ experience in antitrust, regulation and litigation. I have received a Bachelor of Law degree from the Catholic University of São Paulo and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Economic Law Business and Policy from Stanford Law School (USA). I am a Specialist in Economic Law from FGV-SP. I serve as a Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) to the Unilateral Conduct Working Group and the Merger Working Group of the International Competition Network (ICN). I have served as legal counsel to the Brazilian Competition Authority (CADE), under the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), providing independent legal counseling for the drafting of the Remedies Guidelines issued in 2018. I have extensive experience on a wide range of regulatory and competition law matters including cartel investigations and leniency applications, merger clearances, abuse of dominance investigations, client counseling (especially working with investment management firms and hedge funds in regulatory and antitrust risk assessment for merger/risk arbitrage, event driven and special situations), litigation, regulatory advice and corporate compliance programs. I also have extensive experience in the financial and payments industries working on different regulatory and competition law issues involving such industries. Prior to joining Pereira Neto Macedo Advogados I have also practiced law at other major firms in Brazil and with the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Brussels, counseling clients in European and Brazilian Competition law matters.
