Ricardo holds a law degree from Universidad Marista de Mérida, where he graduated with academic honors, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University (NYU), where he focused on public law. He is a member of the New York Bar.
His practice focuses on litigation and advisory work in constitutional, administrative, and regulatory law. He has represented companies across the energy, telecommunications, healthcare, agribusiness, technology, hospitality, and aviation sectors, among others, before the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice (Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación), the federal courts and a range of administrative authorities.
He has extensive experience in acciones de inconstitucionalidad (abstract constitutional-review actions), controversias constitucionales (constitutional disputes between branches or levels of government), and amparo proceedings—as well as in leading complex litigation strategies that require coordinating firms across multiple specialties. He has also advised government bodies and legislative authorities on the design of public policy and regulatory frameworks, giving him an exceptional command of the regulatory landscape.
