Luisa holds a law degree from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where she received an award for academic excellence during her studies, prior to graduating suma cum laude. A Fulbright scholar, she earned her masters’ degree (LLM) at Columbia University, where she was named Constitutional Law Fellow.
She started her career clerking in the Supreme Court of Justice, and the Federal Judiciary. In 2011, she entered private practice, where she has advised both local and global clients in constitutional and administrative litigation, specializing in strategic and high-profile cases.
In the academic arena, she carried out a research stay at the Spanish Constitutional Court, and later became a professor at ITAM (Public Law), at CIDE (Constitutional Law) and Universidad Panamericana (Constitutional Procedure). She currently holds the chair for professor of Legal Reasoning in the Constitutional Law Master’s Degree at Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD).
Luisa’s native language is Spanish, and she is fluent in English.
