Rebecca is a highly experienced family lawyer and mediator, having worked in this area of law for over 25 years.
Her expertise in both complex children and high value financial matters enables her to provide a holistic service to clients on separation and divorce, whether via mediation, constructive negotiation, collaboration or litigation.
She has a particular specialism in dealing with :
- Finances on divorce, and regularly advises on matters where there may be high value assets, such as large pension funds, businesses or large capital funds.
- Complex children matters, which sees her dealing with cases where there is an international element or where violence, mental health, substance use, complex criminal issues or implacable hostility may be issues.
An accredited mediator, supervisor of mediators and Collaborative Lawyer, she is also able to consult with children, as she holds the qualification in child inclusive mediation. She regularly receives referrals from lawyers and also other mediators.
Her experience in complex children and financial matters sees her dealing with cases where there may be an international element or high value assets or, in the case of children, where violence, mental health, substance use, or complex criminal issues or implacable hostility may be issues.
She also has a particular interest in cases where there may be issues of implacable hostility, relocation, or where cases may be listed for a fact-finding hearing. Her international experience means that she has substantial experience in advising on issues of relocation.
Her substantial experience also extends to advising on issues where other family members, such as grandparents etc., are caring for children or are wanting to maintain a relationship with their grandchildren.
Her strong children law knowledge is combined with her excellent knowledge of education law. She provides clear and succinct advice to schools on all family law issues and also represents education establishments when applications are needed by courts on issues of disclosure in family proceedings.
She works nationally and is based in Stone King’s Bath office.
