The part-time appointment will see Daniela continuing her work specialising in the representation of children both directly and through children’s guardians.
This includes in care proceedings where local authorities have made applications to court, in contact disputes and in proceedings determining where children should live.
“I am delighted to have been appointed a deputy district judge,” said Daniela.
“I look forward to taking on this role while continuing in areas of private practice that have been of central importance to me throughout my career.”
She has been a member of the Law Society’s children’s panel since 2011 and sits on Resolution’s children’s committee.
Daniela’s academic background includes experience teaching on the undergraduate Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and the Social Work MSc at the University of Bristol.
