Career

Qamer Ghafoor is a Partner and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Flint Bishop Limited, responsible for the firm’s overall direction and strategic leadership. Appointed CEO in March 2018, Qamer has successfully implemented strategies that have driven unrivalled business performance, resulting in substantial growth in revenue and profits across all specialist practice areas at Flint Bishop.

Qamer's strategic priorities for the firm include delivering high-quality services to clients, pursuing profitable growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, retaining and developing top talent, fostering innovation, and preserving Flint Bishop’s ambitious, supportive, and distinctive culture.

Since becoming CEO, Qamer has overseen a period of unprecedented financial growth at Flint Bishop, while also establishing the firm as one of the UK's leading law practices in the B2B collections and debt recovery sectors. He played a pivotal role in leading Flint Bishop’s strategic acquisition of Walker Morris' Banking & Finance Recoveries division in September 2024, marking the firm’s entry into the Leeds market. This acquisition significantly enhances the firm's capabilities in broader litigation and recoveries work, while also establishing a strong foundation to expand its full legal services offering across the UK.

At the time of Qamer’s appointment as CEO, Flint Bishop’s turnover was £13.1m. Through his visionary leadership and commitment to delivering exceptional client service, he has transformed the firm in a remarkably short time. Under his guidance, turnover is expected to reach £26.5m by the end of the 2024/25 financial year, marking a growth of over 50%. Flint Bishop has grown to over 300 employees, the largest workforce in the firm’s 100-plus-year history.

Qamer is firmly at the helm of Flint Bishop’s ambitious transformation and growth plans, leading on a number of C-level strategic appointments and senior hires, in addition to making significant personal investment in new flagship offices, technology and practice area expansion.
