Phil Isom is Chair of the Private Funds practice. For over 25 years Phil has represented private equity firms in all aspects of their business. His practice focuses on matters relating to forming private investment funds or managed accounts across a broad range of asset classes and geographic areas. He has advised numerous investment teams in spin-outs and the formation of their private investment firms. He has extensive experience in structuring and organizing the ownership, and carried interest arrangements, of private equity firms (including investments in those firms by third party investors). Phil also regularly advises his clients on formation of single asset and co-invest funds and liquidity solutions transactions, including sponsors/GPs, and buyers and sellers in secondary transfers of investment fund interests and investment portfolios funded with proprietary or third party capital.
