Phil Isom is Chair of the Private Funds practice. For over 30 years Phil has represented private equity firms in all aspects of their business. His practice focuses on matters relating to forming private investment funds or managed accounts across a range of asset classes and geographic areas. He has advised numerous investment teams in spin-outs and formation of their private investment firms. He has extensive experience in structuring the ownership, and carried interest arrangements, of private equity firms (including GP Stakes transactions). Phil also regularly advises his clients on liquidity solutions transactions, including GP Led and continuation fund transactions and buyers and sellers in secondary transfers of investment fund interests and investment portfolios.
