Petra has experience across a range of transactional and dispute resolution work with a focus on art and cultural property law. She acts on behalf of private collectors, artists, trustees, dealers, galleries and auction houses in resolving issues of title, history, provenance or authenticity of works of art and advising on the acquisition and sale of collections, import and export matters, loan documentation and terms and conditions of business. Petra is an accredited mediator with ADR Group and a panel mediator with Art Resolve.
Career
Petra qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and joined Hunters in 2014. Before pursuing a legal career, Petra studied History of Art at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and the Courtauld Institute of Art and held research, collection management and business roles at museums, galleries and auction houses in the United States and London.
Professional Memberships
Petra is the Secretary of the Art, Cultural institutions and Heritage Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). She is also a member of the Professional Advisors to the International Art Market (PAIAM), the Association of Women in the Arts (AWITA) and the Institute of Art and Law.
