Peter Wexler

Peter Wexler is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Newmont, where he leads the company’s legal, compliance and regulatory affairs globally. He joined the mining group in 2024 after 15 years as Chief Legal Officer of Schneider Electric, bringing more than three decades of experience across M&A, risk, governance and complex international operations. His combination of legal and financial leadership gives Wexler a particularly broad perspective within the executive team, spanning governance, enterprise risk and the strategic demands of a major international mining business.
