A former federal prosecutor with significant trial experience, Prieto practices in the areas of complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense, representing individual and corporate clients in civil litigation, including commercial, business torts, securities fraud and class action litigation. He has defended clients in criminal investigations involving public corruption, banking and healthcare fraud, and aviation and environmental violations. Over the last decade, Prieto has also defended law and accounting firms against claims of misconduct and professional malpractice. Prieto has extensive experience prosecuting and defending RICO claims. He has also served at the leadership level in several multi-district litigation ("MDL") proceedings.
