Peter began his legal career as a securities lawyer in the New York and Toronto offices of Shearman & Sterling LLP, a leading global law firm. There, he advised issuers and underwriters on more than $50 billion in capital markets transactions. That experience gave him a sophisticated understanding of complex transactions, capital formation and the commercial realities that drive successful deals.

Since returning to Canadian private practice, Peter has built a broad corporate and transactional practice encompassing mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, real estate transactions and general corporate advisory matters. He serves as external general counsel and strategic advisor to privately held companies, helping entrepreneurs and management teams execute growth plans, build lasting relationships and navigate critical moments in their businesses.
