Reversing the Burden of Proof: Lying Doesn't Pay-Discovery Misconduct
We represented the plaintiff, who was hired to grow the defendant company and was paid a salary plus 20% of the company’s profits. The company owner depressed the company profits by improperly expensing items. Our finance and accounting backgrounds were crucial to resolving this case out of court.
Unauthorized Stock Sale: Jury Awards Damages and Sends Message to an Unclaimed Property Firm
After an unclaimed property firm authorized the sale of stock with the client's authorization. The firm pocketed the proceeds from the sale. The client brought the case to trial. The jury found in favor of our client by awarding $64,391.34 in actual damages and $32,195.67 in treble damages.
