Patricia Álvarez

Patricia is active in different areas of the business and corporate/commercial law and has extensive experience in corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, corporate governance, tax law, energy law, financial markets, intellectual property, real estate and trusts.

Ms. Álvarez was recently promoted to partner of the firm in June 2023. She has assisted a diverse variety of clients in national and multijurisdictional transactions. She has acted as counsel in major real estate transactions, M&As and acquisitions of energy companies, hotels, beverages companies and pharmaceuticals, as well as corporate loan restructurings and finance for local and foreign financial entities with multijurisdictional security packages, and a big range of national and international commercial transactions.

Ms. Alvarez also has vast experience in the energy sector, she has assisted in both acquisitions of energy projects and of other natures, including her participation in the largest green bond issue in Central America carried out by CMI for the financing of various renewable energy projects in the region including the Dominican Republic. Patricia also has great expertise in all tax matters, assisting a big range of clients in the structure of projects, as well as representation in administrative procedures.
