Paola Sangiovanni

Career

Paola, a partner of the firm, mainly focuses on contracts, corporate law and regulatory matters. She has developed considerable experience in negotiating and drafting complex international contracts, including share purchase agreements, joint venture contracts, licenses and high-tech services contracts. She has also gained significant experience in the field of compliance, personal data protection and anti-corruption legislation, and guides her clients in legal matters in highly regulated areas.

Paola mainly assists companies active in the healthcare and life sciences sectors (both in the pharmaceutical and med-tech fields), but also companies offering new technologies, renewable energy and advanced services that require sophisticated and innovative legal solutions.

Paola was admitted to the bar in 1999, after earning a law degree from the University of Milan in 1994 magna cum laude, and a Master of Laws as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California at Berkeley Law, in 1997.

Paola also serves as President of the Ally Law, a legal network of 77 law firms across multiple jurisdictions, comprising more than 2,800 lawyers worldwide. She is also the Team Leader of the biotech group within Women & Tech, a third-sector organization.

Paola is fluent in Italian and English.
