Pamela D. Hans is the managing shareholder in Anderson Kill’s Philadelphia office. She concentrates her practice in insurance recovery.
Pam represents clients in the oil and gas industry, utilities, mining companies, ethanol producers, hog processors, commercial lenders, home builders, and non-profit organizations, in disputes with their insurance companies. In 2016, Pam won a major victory for a large energy provider, upheld by an appellate court in 2017, recognizing insurance coverage for property damage and business interruption losses in excess of $58 million stemming from the breakdown of a generator. The appellate win topped Law360's Legal Lions list in Sept. 2017.
Pam has also represented automobile manufacturers and other Fortune 500 Companies in product liability matters and counselled these clients and others, including utilities, on regulatory matters. She has also represented design professionals in professional liability and design defect claims.
In addition to her law degree, Pam holds a BS and MS in engineering.
Pam lectures and publishes widely on insurance recovery issues. Her articles have been included in publications including New York Times Dealbook, CFO.com, Philadelphia Business Journal, Advisen and The D&O Diary. Pam was also included in Law360's "Female Powerbrokers" Q&A series.
