Owen Mulholland is a banking lawyer based in London. He is an asset and structured finance specialist with particular expertise in aviation finance.

Owen acts for UK, European and other international clients on the full spectrum of aviation finance matters. His clients include some of the world's leading airlines, aircraft lessors, banks and financial institutions. Owen’s expertise includes export credit financing (he is one of the practice’s European ECA relationship partners), cross-border structured financing, all aspects of operating and finance leases, sales and leaseback of aircraft and tax-driven structured financings.

Some of Owen’s recent transactional work includes acting for the European Export Credit Agencies on a $1.4 billion ECA-supported Operating Lease Facility for AerCap N.V; acting for easyJet on a $217 million Commercial Debt Facility and a $222 million Operating Lease Facility in respect of certain A320 Aircraft; acting for SAS on the Japanese Operating Lease (JALCO) financing of a number of B737NG Aircraft; acting for a leading Irish Operating Lessor on the operating lease of two Airbus Aircraft to an Indian carrier.

Owen is listed in directories including Who’s Who Legal’s Guide to Worldwide Aviation lawyers 2010 and Expert Guide's Guide to the World's Leading Aviation Lawyers as a leading practitioner in his field.

Owen holds a first class honours degree in law from The Queen’s University of Belfast. He became a partner in 2005 and has spent several years, both as an associate and as a partner, working in our Paris office. He returned to the London office at the end of January 2008.
