Partner Olivier Kress draws on decades of experience to assist both domestic and international clients with the full spectrum of employment and labour law matters. He is particularly known for his work on complex transactions, including acquisitions, carve-outs, outsourcing arrangements, business transfers and restructurings.
Clients rely and can count on his advice regarding a wide variety of employment law, questions, whether they concern international employment frameworks, executive and individual employment relationships, working time and collective bargaining issues, social security or health and safety compliance, codes of conduct, or cross-border mobility and immigration.
Fluent in both English and Italian, with a team that also speaks both languages, Olivier dedicates a substantial portion of his practice to supporting international clients, guiding them through both advisory projects and litigation.
As head of the firm’s Italian Desk, Olivier is a trusted adviser to Italian companies operating in France as well as French groups investing in Italy. He acts for businesses in a wide range of industries, often representing them in sensitive disputes, whether collective or individual, before civil and criminal courts.
Olivier is appreciated by clients for his ability to put himself in their shoes and come up with the solution that is best tailored to their specific needs. He understands how his clients’ own legal background can influence their wants, needs and vision of French law and strives to provide a personalized, case by case and client specific approach.
Beyond his litigation and advisory practice, Olivier plays an active role in several leading international networks and is invited as speaker or moderator to attend many international conferences.
He also serves as the vice-co-chair of the IBA’s Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee, is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA) and participates in International Employment Lawyer initiatives.
He is closely involved with L&E Global alliance, an international alliance of 34 prominent employment law firms co-founded by Flichy Grangé Avocats in 2011.
