Olivia Delagrange

Olivia is a specialist in insurance litigation, across a wide range of lines of business. She acts for insurers and reinsurers and her triple qualification (Spain, Belgium and England & Wales) makes her the right person for complex international disputes.

Olivia Delagrange is highly experience in insurance claims. She is qualified in three jurisdictions: Spain (since 2006), Belgium (since 2004) and England & Wales (since 2015), and works fluently in four languages: Spanish, English, French and Dutch.

She has 19 years experience as an insurance lawyer, with a wide-range of expertise energy, construction, property, product liability and financial lines and is often appointed to defend insurers or reinsurers’ interests in coverage disputes, or subrogated recovery actions.

She often acts for the London market and her triple qualification allows her to help with the needs of foreign clients when they come across with the Spanish legal system.

Apart from the traditional dispute resolution at Spanish Courts, Olivia is also often appointed to act in arbitration, both institutional (ICC, CIMA, CEPANI,...) or ad hoc, not only defending insurers, but also insureds whose liability is insured by insurance company.

Olivia also has in-house experience in an insurance company, and has an in-depth understanding of the insurance business and the needs of an insurance company.

She is a member of a selective group of insurance lawyer to work on the improvement of arbitration in Spain and is an active member of RedEWI (an organisation within the insurance industry to empower women in insurance).
