Dr. Oliver Sutter is a banking lawyer based in Frankfurt, head of the German banking team and EMEA co-head of general banking and R&I.

For nearly two decades, he has advised banks, financial sponsors and corporates on various acquisition finance, real estate finance, corporate loan transactions, as well as recapitalizations, restructurings and treasury matters. He is instrumental in our internal training program (Banking Academy) and an avid promoter of using legal tech to better serve our clients.

Prior to joining the Frankfurt practice in 2010, Oliver worked as an analyst in the M&A origination team of a major German investment bank and as a Counsel in the banking team of another leading law firm in Germany.

Oliver is fluent in both German and English.
