He is a founding member and chairman of the European Fraud and Compliance Lawyers (EFCL), a member of the Advisory Board of the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), and a founding member of the Wirtschaftsstrafrechtliche Vereinigung e.V. (WisteV). He also serves as an examiner in the oral state examination of Germany’s second legal state exam.

Career

Dr. Oliver Kipper began his legal career as a criminal defence lawyer at a prominent boutique firm in Frankfurt am Main from 2003 to 2006. He studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg im Breisgau and subsequently worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Foreign and International Private Law at the same university. He later joined the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg as a research associate and Max Planck Society fellow.

Dr. Oliver Kipper earned his doctorate under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Jörg Albrecht with a dissertation entitled “Protection of Child Victim Witnesses in Criminal Proceedings”, reflecting his early focus on both academic rigor and practical aspects of criminal law.
