Career

Jakob Lehners joined Kipper Durth Schott as a criminal defence lawyer in 2020 and became a partner in 2025. He specialises in business and white-collar crime and has extensive experience in complex, high-stakes criminal proceedings.

Prior to joining the firm, Jakob Lehners studied law at Heidelberg University and completed his legal clerkship (Referendariat) in Frankfurt am Main, focusing on criminal law. During this time, he worked in the dispute resolution practice of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Frankfurt am Main, where he gained experience in complex, cross-border matters. He also spent part of his clerkship at a prominent boutique firm specialising in white-collar crime defence.

In addition, he undertook professional stays in the United States and Panama, further broadening his international perspective and strengthening his understanding of cross-border legal issues.
