In his sanctions and export controls practice, Nikolay assists clients in developing and implementing internal compliance policies, handling applications with national authorities, and managing sanctions-related internal investigations and disputes in national and international courts.
Nikolay provides guidance on customs matters, particularly on the classification and origin of imported products. His work includes applications for tariff suspensions, binding tariff classification and origin information, as well as customs compliance investigations.
Nikolay advises on ESG-related regulations, including Deforestation Regulation, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, Forced Labor Regulation and CS3D. He also supports clients on issues under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation, Critical Raw Materials Act, and Taxonomy Regulation.
