Practice Areas
Partner with extensive experience of all aspects of criminal and related civil litigation in including fraud in both jurisdictions. Particularly noted for his work in defending professionals in disciplinary proceedings and regulatory investigations. Current instructions include defending ex-Freshfields partner Ryan Beckwith against an SRA prosecution, an SFO investigation into corporate corruption in Brazil and representing an experienced broker in CISI disciplinary proceedings. His recent portfolio of major fraud cases is substantial and includes the first ever FCA prosecution and the largest ever crypto-currency fraud. Has successfully advised upon and defended numerous Proceeds of Crime Act cases both at first instance and on appeal.
