Career

Nick is a Partner in HFW’s Shipping team and leads our Shanghai office. Nick began his career in our London office in 2001 and moved to Shanghai in 2006.

Throughout his career, Nick has specialised in international shipping and trade disputes. He advises leading shipowners, shipbuilders, operators, traders and leasing companies in China. He also frequently acts on the instructions of local PRC law firms, and was the founding member of HFW’s association in the Shanghai FTZ with Witell & Co in 2016.

Nick frequently acts in arbitrations in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia and has represented clients in a number of cases before the commercial courts in London.
