Neil Hood has spent nearly 15 years building a distinguished real estate practice concentrating on commercial leasing, real estate financing, and the acquisition and disposition of office buildings, shopping centers, apartment projects, and hotels. He works closely with clients to understand their day-to-day operations, helping them prioritize key points in their transactions and get deals across the finish line successfully.
Neil regularly represents owners, developers, office and retail tenants, and financial institutions across the Mid-Atlantic region. His recent work includes representing clients in large-scale office leases, corporate headquarters transactions, and significant commercial acquisitions, including a 500,000-square-foot lease recognized by the Washington Business Journal as a Best Real Estate Deal of 2015 and a 315,000-square-foot lease at One Reston Overlook that won the CREBA Greater Washington Virginia Lease Transaction of the Year award.
His work spans geographies and asset classes, including office, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use properties across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and nationally. Across all matters, Neil is known for his ability to explain complex scenarios clearly, hold his ground confidently in negotiations, and bring a calm, collaborative approach that clients and opposing counsel alike appreciate.
